Has anyone ever converted or tried to convery a pre 1999 1077 to use the AirSource kit?

From what I understand the threads are different on the older models.

So, If the threads are different on the shaft where you slide in the CO2 cartridge
Then why not just replace the shaft where the CO2 tank goes with a new one?
The new shaft is $11 at crosman?

Any Ideas?

It can be done... I have passed that bit on via email...
