ok ok I CRACKED THE DA VINCICODE!! ok so it's easy when ya know how, hehe, anyway now at long last are the pics of my current canadian combo, the 1077 with 3 to 9 X 50 zoom scope with illuminated reticule (red or green) for day or night shooting,on 1 piece mount for extra stability on the plastic rails! plus not shown in pic i now have an extra magazine attached upside down to my original box mag fr a flip clip as another member called it(yeah i stole his idea!!thanks for the tip!!) and my 1077 is now of course converted back to factory power, and lqast but so definately not least, my beretta air pistol, also co2 also round mags, but metal and only 8 shot, but just like the real thing and all metal, a grat companion to the 1077 as they share the ammo and co2, so after long last i get to show off my not a toy must be used with care toys!!
Hi CC , your 1077 looks identical to mine , one question is what is that caps on an elastic string thing ? Is it just a protective cover for the lens or what? I ask cos mine has one and it seems i can see through the scope slightly better with it on ?
hi there, yes the 1077s all look identical till they get the custom treatment, thats why i like the look of the one at the head of the home page, and why i will be giving mine rambo pills to beef up the loo into that tactical style , i see that D&L airguns sell a kit that includes bipod light and touchpad same as on the crosman tac extreme so might be getting that byt i do think the barrel is a bit too weka for a bipod really as it has too much flex so not sure if the bipod would help or hinder accuracy, the scope has front and back protective caps, my ones have a clear front but a yellow rear lens that really helps reduceglare off snow or in bright sunlight, the reason you may feel you can see better with them might be because the way the plastic slightly diffuses the light, so the inmage is a tiny bit less clear but not so stark and hard on the eyes as afully clear view, giving the impression of a better image when in fact it is slightly worse, wierd how the brain does things eh!?
Yes my Beretta, again i have on ehere in canadialand, and one in UK, saved all the problems with panicky customs and airport officials, who know too much about nothing in particular and i am sure would cause no end of problems if i brought "a gun" through in my luggage, even though according to the canadian firearms centre it is legal to do so, anyway i will have my FAC soon so transporting airguns will be less frought with difficulty i hope as i want to bring over my air arms jackal firepower, no longer made now but very powerful in 22 cal!, but the beretta is my favourite pistol, it looks the part, it feels the part, and it is no slouch in the power stakes either, i will also get the colt 1911 version when the toy fund gets a bit more in it, as they are my two fav pistols of all time, i have had in my years loads of airguns pistols etc, funny how just a few made such a real impression, oh well i have prattled on long enough, you will enjoy your beretta, loads of fun!! ONE TIP! GET MORE MAGS HEHE, 8 shots go by so quick! cheers cc
You mentioned that you might be buying a 1911. If you're looking to buy airguns in Canada, I usually get mine from 2 sources. One is D&L. The other is a private broker named MrMarvin. You can locate him through the Canadian Airgun Forum, www.airgunforum.ca. He goes by the handle MrMarvin. Really nice gentleman to talk to and deal with. He goes out of his way to make sure the buyer is happy. He deals with new and vintage airguns. I bought my 1077 and Beretta 92FS off MrMarvin, along with several others (357, 38T, etc). He is well liked in that forum, check out the buyer feedback about him in that forum's feedback section. If you're interested in guns that are out of circulation, he might be able to locate one for you. I just thought you might be interested.
If you decide to contact him, You can mention my name if you like, he knows me by my handle there as Doc.
Hi there Tyler, yeah i liked the flip clip idea, so blatantly stole it sorry and thank all in one hehe, the inly thing i did different is i attached my mags so that they ange slighly forward instead fo straight, for no other reason than i like the banana look, plus it puts he spare rotary mag at the rear which i feel might protect it a bit more, i used the same methodas you to attach it, with the black electrical tape, but i also used some double sided sticky foam tape on the bottoms, so that the points of the mag didnt touch as he bases are not flat as you know, that stops them leaning to one side or the other, and is suprisingly firm, now i just got to get the bipod and stuff, i have been looking around for a good price for the bipod flashlight with mount and maybe a laser too but a bit expensive right now, so will postmore pics when it's all dressed up, cheers CC
