greetings,

found this nice forum, read much before buying the 1077 and now got it for 3 days...

here it is:

OK, i have started instantly for some mods, as you can see.
Compensator is homebuild. weight is balanced now at magazin point and has 2,3 Kg for now.
valve mode done, hammer spring mod done, some bore & hone done.
power is quit good now, drills holes in 0,5 mm metal at 15 meters range. (maybe 10 joule now)

(by the way, the valve cap wasnt black, it wasnt grey, mine is white - bored to 4.1 mm)

accuracy is fine at 15 meters, tomorrow i will test at 30 meters.

just want to say thanks to all the good posts about mods and what could be done, it helped me a lot.

comming mods are quit simple and just "for the looks" as a sniper scope, the 88g CO2 plugin
and maybe some optic things to make it look a little "Tactic"...
i will post pics, when ready.

regards to all the cool modders here, the 1077 makes just fun now.

Nice work T-Force. Keep on with your mods as listed. White valve head huh!, must be like this on the new models as I have not seen a white one before. Glad you have improved fps with you mods. Keep posting updates and pictures.

As said i drove out sunday to test accuracy on 30 meter distance.

i used crosman superpoint hunting pellets.

2 of 3 shots (fast action) hit nearly the same point.
the 3rd shot was 1,8 cm away from the other 2.
i did this test 5 times... so for me its OK on 30 meters.

next test was some road-sign at 70 meter distance.
(just for fun and no one was arround, its a wide landscape, dont worry)
its a Danger sign: "!" and i tried to hit the black point of the "!" which of course is very small at 70 meters happy.gif

what to say, it made "pling plong plang"... and after some shots i was able to hit it quite constantly.
it seems the muzzle compensator often mentioned in other threads does a good job on accuracy.
if i unscrew it, the target hitlist issnt that good happy.gif

by the way, what is the maximum distance a 1077 can reach before the pellet falls asleep ?

and how about using these alloy Gamo PBA Raptor Air Rifle Pellets ?

is this a real noticable difference or just made up for selling ?

a test on the gamo hunter extrem air rifle measured velocity:
1600 fps with Gamo Raptor PBA pellets
1250 fps with lead pellets

anyone tested ?

PBA Raptor

October 21 2009, 4:19 PM

Hi There,

Welcome to the forum,

I believe the PBA Raptors are very light & pretty hard so the penetration tests sound accurate.

Prometheus in the UK have a similar-ish tin based pellet (6.9 grains) which I use at times with my 1077.

They are very flat shooting, great penetration but watch out for ricochets.

Cheers,

Matt W
