This worked for us... (also warning about the FP rocker)

Response to with all due respect to the sadness on this board (past & present,) i have a mundane issue

The Nap Nanny. Yes expensive but worth it. He loves it. And sleeps from 9-7. He is now 3.5 months old and still sleeps in it. He also has reflux and loves the incline. At first he would only sleep on me and I couldn't do that anymore and caved and spent the money on the nap nanny.

I used to use what others here recommended ... the fisher price rocker. In fact he slept in it for the first week he was home but then I also noticed his head shape was turning strange and wish I'd listened to all the reviews about that on amazon... We do still use it but only for 10 minutes here and there in the daytime.
here is a link with the 1 star reviews...

now I know there are far many more great reviews than bad ones and that's why I got it. and my little guy's head could of turned misshapen without that, granted, but I wouldn't recommend that product for all night sleeping anymore just in case. I did see the night time version of the rocker at Target and it has the same rock hard plastic backing but it does have extra head cushions and all great reviews on amazon so maybe that is an improvement. When we got the original rocker that deluxe version was not sold yet. Luckily my son's head is now rounding out on it's own.

Anyhow good luck to you and your little one!

and a good swing is the fisher price cradle snug a bunny swing - it's quiet and great for sleeping in for baby as well! the luv u zoo one is nice too but motor is loud and quality not as good

oh and if you r nervous about SIDS as I am (for no reason just paranoid) get the Snuza Halo - it clips onto the diaper and monitors the breathing. Since our little guy is not in his crib with the angelcare monitor I use this. If no breathing is detected it vibrates so baby wakes up. If baby doesn't respond the unit beeps. Here's a link..
