Transferring one DOES work (m/c and p/g ment.)

Response to brief update we tranferred (has anyone had a single FET result in live birth?)

Let me give you some encouraging words.

A little more than two years ago, I undertook my eighth cycle after 7 others didn't work (either BFNs, chemicals, or m/c). I was on my second DE clinic and third donor at this point. I had one frozen embryo left and I decided to fly half way across the country to transfer it. I couldn't let it sit in the freezer indefinitely, but why would it work this time? so it was really just a compassionate transfer. After 4 years of ttc, we were so done and ready to move on with our lives.

When my return flight landed, I called my husband and found out his elderly father had had a heart attack and was on life support. So early the next morning we got on a place and flew to Florida. After a few rough days, life support was discontinued and he passed away that night. So then a funeral and shiva and donating his things....all with one embie on board. I didn't rest and I certainly didn't follow the rules about not lifting.

Imagine my surprise when I got a BFP. And then it doubled. And even after my monitoring clinic wasn't sure it was going to work out, an IRL friend from this board put me in tough with one of the best high risk docs in NYC. I went on to have a completely uneventful pregnancy and DD, now almost 8 months, is the joy of our lives.

So just hang in there and keep yourself busy! Keep the faith - - transferring one embie can work!!
