Okay we took little peanut DS to 15 month well check yesterday and were told to make an appointment with pediatric neurologist. DS is not walking and only stands/cruises on his tip toes. He never plants his feet, ever! I thought he was hitting all of his developmental milestones at the appropriate time until I did a little research. Here are his stats:
Rolled over tummy to back EARLY - like 2 months?
Rolled over back to tummy by 5/6 months, but did not do so in his bed while sleeping until 9/10 months
Crawled at 11 months
Started pulling up at 14 months
He only points at his nose, when you ask him where it is. He never pointed for things he wants, he just reaches for them
He cannot stand unsupported, he rarely takes assisted steps (just buckles legs and tries to crawl), but he crawls like a madman and is very busy. He seems to prefer his left hand, does not feed himself with a spoon, and does not stack blocks. I am know completely beside myself because I am not even sure what going to a PN means. He is my first child, therefore, I am not even sure what at 15m old really should be doing. He has language, can understand some simple commands. Yet, when you read various accounts of normal 15 month development, I am scared that he is missing some marks. I thought the toe walking was my only worry, but now my mommy crazy is making question EVERYTHING! Please help. Anyone else have a toe walker or have to see a neuro for concerns? What should I expect?
