When do yours start kinder, Andrea? My pediatrician says almost all kids even out/ catch up by kindergarten and that is the goal - so that when they start school they are on an even playing field. I've just kept repeating that to myself as DD did not qualify for services after her eval but still had obvious issues. Her progress goes in fits and starts; her sentence structure, volume (like you said) and pronunciation were still way off. A few weeks ago she woke up one morning a different child, again... that's the way it goes with us. We will have one year of pre-K and I feel really confident now that she will have totally caught up by K. I wish she hadn't had any issues at all, as I think it affected her confidence, but it is what it is... and she still seems to end up "queen bee" (her former teacher's words LOL) of whatever group she enters! So, no lasting damage

. We were very, very concerned for a long time, though - I would say even until a few weeks ago. Do your kiddos follow that pattern - big changes out of the blue?
I would try to get services if you can and are concerned, it can't hurt! OTOH, I do believe they will catch up fine without, as my kiddo seems to be doing. GL, Andrea! I know it can be upsetting to worry over what to do/ whether to push. Oh and are you doing fish oil? I think this really helps!! I have to hide DD's really well but I think it makes a big difference. Hugs,
Kenny
