65 and, for us, this is not a topic of some future but it is right now. We live in a depressed area in the outskirts of the country and while the cost of life is lower, the opportunities are fewer, too. Every dollar raises in value, you know?
I am grateful for the nature we are living in, a little piece of paradise without having to wait for one's golden years (well, someone's got golden already). Acknowledging by the powers to be that senior citizens MAY have dependents would be helpful. I wanted this topic to be a bit wider, about how the growing tendency to delay childbirth does not correlate to the pension policy.
Yes, apparently Canada has its share of injustice in taxation and subsidies. I don't know how you are making it with 8 kids and 1 parent working, hopefully you are getting CCTB.
