I have no words of wisdom to offer. The wise ladies here have said it all. But I do want to add the feelings of regret, which is, in my opinion, the most horrible emotion in the world, are the number-one sign of a good and moral person. Being able to forgive others is another. Aufrecht's advice rang a bell with me. Being able to forgive your younger self is a sign of accepting that the mature you has grown.
Hoping for you, my dear friend, and wishing for peace for you. My faith in you remains unblemished. You are a good person. Have no doubts.
