Well, this week given over to potty training and what a time it has been. I have been as low as I have ever been (I'm afraid 'the Potty Boot Camp' did not work for me!), doubting myself and her and everything. DH joked that it might be easier to give Baby V up for adoption - not a great joke and I made him apologise as I have no sense of humour at all. It has been bad though.
Today I feel like posting because I feel we have turned a corner. She has peed in the potty a few times, she even went towards her potty of her own volition this morning when she needed to go, she now communicates with me that she wants to go - it is all coming together and I see genuine light at the end of the tunnel.
I have found reading her signals important and I had as much to learn about this as she has. Who knew she only did about 4 pees a day? I have also been shocked at how long she is able to hold it in - hours - wasn't expecting that. And I am now reading on the potty to her for ages as I find that is the best thing to keep her on the potty - I tried foody treats (soon lost appeal) and blackmail (you will be able to watch children's TV if you sit sort of thing - this made her hysterical). So all in all the lastest adventure has brought us closer together as we are learning to communicate much more deeply.
I wish I had asked this question before last Saturday, but what worked for you?
