I don't like to give a gift to a child that either may have it already or does not like it. Our neighbor's kids are 6 and 7; have everything and I really never have a clue about what to get them. So, I started to ask their mom for suggestions. Saves me time and they get what they want. This is probably not the proper thing to do, but who cares. If you know the parents well I would ask. Just my 2 cents.
