Both of my kids are taking karate. My daughter originally took gymnastics but then decided that she would prefer karate, so that's where she is. The kids also take swimming, and my borderline-ADHD son is in cub scout camp this summer. When school starts, he will be a cub scout and daughter will be a daisy.
My son also takes piano lessons. He is a wonderful pianist, and runs to the piano to practice every chance he gets. OTOH, my daughter hates it; I think she is afraid of competing with her brother.
We try to put my son in situations where he has to follow "rules." It seems to be working, but we still have a ways to go.
BTW, both kids take fish oil, and my son takes a "focus" pill. The fish oil was recommended by an ADHD specialist whom we took him to see.
