This is long but well worth the read. I did not watch the video. Apparently, the chemical in this stuff is a lot worse than we knew AND we now know that it does not just "stain" your skin...

Honestly, we should have guessed this, but dang. The older I get the more suspicious I am of anything that I'm supposed to put on or in my body.

Makes me glad I never used this stuff much

I REALLY wanted it to work on my face but I have large pores and the resulting tan is not a pretty thing.

heard about this - always wondered....

I've toyed with the idea of spray tans, etc. Never got round to it but always wondered how something could change your skin color but not really go past the skin. I mean, even some shampoos and moisturizers come with warnings! Even when I was pregnant I remember looking at spray tan products and it was not warned against even for pregnant women. Have to say, when I was pregnant I used NOTHING except baby, shampoo, ivory soap and eucerin (sp?). No make up no special moisturizers. Oh, yes, I was a sight to behold.

Really scary when products that have been around forever turn out to be "not so safe." Makes me paranoid about everything!

The same ingredient is in the OTC tanning creams, also...

I checked the ingredient label on my tanning cream, and the carcinogenic DHA is the main ingredient. So here I am, smearing it all over my body after every shower. So much for tanning "safely." sad.gif
