here im going to put the story of this morning's CWC with the help from my real life handsome prince. (smile)
last night I slept with my hair in a braid from Leia's post to help me. it took a little more time but is certainly a better idea than attempting to bun..makes for a bird nest in the morn.
I got up and DH massaged my scalp neck and shoulders...then he spent 2 hrs detangling. my hair is very fine but surprisingly thick and sooo curly.. some of the shorter parts I've lost tend to corkscrew around the longer parts...tangles! but he got them all..1 section at a time aftr which I immed braided. thanks Fox for this advice and to Phoebe for trying it and sharing her exp.
i discovered a secret this morning inspired by Martine. I was almost out of conditioner and worried there wouldn't be enough to treat my ends. and then I looked down at my cluttered vanity and had a thot. those little cases of beauty treats dept. store counter...eye cream night creme etc...i used the day cream to coat my ends!
then I CWC'd. I washed a section at a time. after which I used a comb and the water to detangle. I treated one section at a time as I detangled and smoothed with a gel creme as advised by Roni.
I got out and then wicked my ends again with the day creme. as I looked at all the length I had lost and my thin and yes some worn of edges I picked up the intensive night trtmt. just a few drops to my edges and then at nape.
my ends are so silky...theyve been quite dry which doesn't help my knotting problem. I fretted a little bc due to braiding b4 I washed it was a little hard to undo them. but DH was patient and dusted my ends aftrward..smethng I've never done.
I rebraided and couldn't wait to share it all! thanks everyone!
