*New Story* Maid of the Band

I was part of the road crew for this tour. I have been with them since they started touring earlier in the year. Right now I was cleaning up the room that they stayed in between sets. I seemed to be more of the clean up crew backstage than actually helping on the road. They said I was part of the road crew but I knew I was more of a personal maid to them while on the road. My duties didn’t end backstage, I kept things clean and straight in whatever hotel room they were staying in for the night.

My name is Amanda and I work for Aerosmith when on tour. They were onstage right now so I finished up what I needed to do and sat down waiting for them to come backstage.

I hear, “Hi Mandy. How’s it going?”

I turn to see Lenny Kravitz heading in my direction. He had been on this tour opening each show. Since the second week of the tour he and I had been secretly seeing each other. I didn’t like sneaking around but I wasn’t sure how my boss would react to it.

I reply, “Hi Mr. Kravitz.” Looking around seeing some of his band members milling about the room.

He comes over to me and says softly, “So are you free tonight after the show?”

I smile and say, “Nope, sorry to say I can’t because I have made plans already with this hot sexy musician. So, what do you have in mind tonight?”

He says, “Oh I don’t know. I was thinking a late night dinner in my room. Candles, champagne, roses that can’t even match your beauty.”

I smile and say, “I’ll be there with bells on and maybe not much else.”

He gives me a big smile and walks away, not letting anyone get a clue as to what was really going on. I couldn’t wait until tonight to be with him, he wasn’t like anyone I had ever met before. He was so sweet and romantic treating me like a princess when we were together. I hear the band come backstage while the crowd was yelling for more and knew that was the cue for them to change their clothes and go out for one more song. They came in talking up a storm with each other changing their clothes as if I wasn’t even in the room. I was so used to it that it didn’t phase me anymore. Although I would be lying if I didn’t admit seeing their lead singer Steven Tyler taking his clothes off didn’t get me a little hot under the collar. I turn away as they change pretending to be cleaning something when I feel someone behind me. I turn my head to see Steven standing behind me.

I ask, “What can I do for you Mr. Tyler?”

He laughs and says, “Amanda, how many times do I have to tell you that you can call me Steven. When you call me Mr. Tyler I keep looking for my father.”

I reply, “Sorry, just used to calling my bosses by their proper names. Nothing personal but that’s the way I am. So, you didn’t answer my question. What can I do for you?”

He says, “Well, I was wondering what you were doing after the show. The guys and I are going out for a little while afterwards. I would love it if you went out with us.”

I say, “Thanks for the invite but I think I’m just going to head back to the hotel after the show. I just want to relax and stuff.”

He thinks for a few minutes before saying, “Well, how about we all hang out at the hotel then. We don’t have to go out anywhere we can just relax in the room.”

Out of the corner of my eye I can see Lenny not too far listening to the exchange. I reply, “Thanks, but I’m really tired and I really just want to go back to my room after the show. You guys go out and have some fun, you deserve it.”

He looks disappointed and says, “Okay, maybe another time.”

After they go back out on stage Lenny makes his way slowly over to me. Looking around to make sure no one was paying any attention to us he says to me, “If you want to hang out with the band tonight it’s okay with me.”

I say quietly, “No, I don’t want to go out. I want to spend time with you tonight. I’ll see you later in your room. “

He smiles and says, “Okay, I’m going to head out now so I can have everything ready. I’ll see you later.” He winks as he heads off.

I think about the invite from Steven. If it had been anytime before I started secretly seeing Lenny than I would have jumped at the chance to spend time with him and the others.

----A few hours after the show----

After a romantic dinner and a couple of rounds of sex I was just laying there in Lenny’s arms with my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. I feel his hand caressing my back softly.

He says softly, “Can I tell you something?”

I reply, “You can tell me anything you want.”

He says, “I’m so glad to have met you. I have never known anyone like you. I know it may seem to soon to you but if I don’t get this out I’m afraid I may never say it.”

I ask, “What is it?”

He looks right into my eyes and says, “I’m falling in love with you.”

I gasp a little and say, “You are? You know, I never thought I would ever hear those words from anyone. I’ve been falling in love with you since I first met you.”

After another round of, not sex this time, making love I get dressed to make my way back to my room. Unfortunately we knew that we had to keep it a secret for a little while longer. Neither of us liked it but knew we had no other choice at this time. I gave him one last kiss before opening the door and leaving heading off to my room. What I didn’t know was that Steven had just gotten off the elevator and saw me coming out of the room heading towards mine. He walks to the room I had just left looking at the room number knowing immediately whose room it was.
