Museum-Ship "Averof"

Averof was a battleship ( "heavy cruiser" more correctly ) made in 1911. It is one of the few surviving "drednoughts" in the world, and it is real living history - the ship won almost alone in 2 naval battles in 1912. More info can be found in its home page - http://www.bsaverof.com/ .

Near the ship also he will find the trimere replica "Olympias" and the ww2 fletcher-class destroyer "Velos"

These old Battleships looks perfect,they re deserving to be designated as "Battleship" rather than vintage.Nice post NMBS1.

True. Somebody's gotta do it, because unfortunately, the turks prefer to search Google for articles about Greece.

yes its the destroyer that sunk TWICE the overnumber Turkish fleet.........
