In peace time, I can imagine they don't. What in a real war, when they're forced to eject (especially TuAF pilots) and land behind enemy lines.

They do, sometimes even at peace. And I believe it's required gear when you're at war.

I am completely in the dark over this issue regarding HAF. Having never read or heard about it I assume our pilots won't be carrying anything even in wartime.
