It was designed by a Greek. Who gives a damn where it was built? Any monkeys can assemble a car given the instructions, it's who DESIGNS IT that matters.
lol, modern cars usually designed by big group of engineers. just sketching several lines on papers is not designing. by your logic we can claim lots of models mercedes, peugeot etc...
tell me landos, how do you spend your days except failing and being a lauging stock to everyone else?
LMFAO!!! You are even more stupid than you appear. LOL!!!
May be you are just another ignorant greek fool like the rest of your score...
I suggest you check Tofas at the least. Many cars that the greeks drive are built in Turkey and many of them are designed exclusively by Turkish engineers and built exclusively in turkey landass the dumbass...
tigintimur if you knew ANYTHING about engineering you'd know that there are Chief Engineers who provide concept guidance to the design and development engineers. In the days of the Mini, back in the mid 1950's, the Chief Engineer participated deeply in the design and development of the vehicles. Issigonis is rightly deemed the 'Father of the Mini' because he developed all the trend setting attributes of that car. You stupid phucking mongol Turk.
Turks are the cheap labor that builds foreign designs. Nothing designed in Turkey sells anywhere else in any real numbers. You're hamil labor, nothing else.
"Alexander Arnold Constantine Issigonis was Turkish, he was born in Izmir, Turkey."
The Turks didn't want him. Threw his family out along with the rest of the ethnic Greeks. Included most of the BRAIN POWER in that nation, I might add. He considered himself a Greek, ass for brains.

You the most stupid of the greek score. Which part of mini is designed and built in greece??
Murat Gunak:
Murat Günak born 9 August 1957 in Istanbul, is the former head designer of Volkswagen. On basis of a mandate through his consultant company MGMO GmbH he was CEO of Mindset (vehicle) between July 2008 and January 2009.
He was designed various Mercedes-Benz as the W202, the first C-Klasse, the 1st SLK etc. Peugeot (206 CC, 307, and 607) and Volkswagen (Passat CC for example) automobiles.
He was replaced at Volkswagen by his former employee, Walter De Silva.
Günak studied at the Royal College of Arts in London under Claude Lobo and Patrick Le Quément.[1]
Now does that make the C-Klasse, SLK series or the others Turkish cars you fool?
Now stick those kumquats back in your arse so you can enjoy them as cumquats you illiterate fool..
BTW any Turk here knows more about engineering than you ever will.
now STFU and GTFO or enjoy getting your butt banged....

Completely designed by Turkish engi, neers and only produced in Turkey... I can show you lots of R&D programs to apply for this vehicle...
Ownage Continuing...

LOL, you azzholes trying to lecture Landos on auto-engineering. What he does for a living!
Any mongol can take an off the shelf engine and transmission and throw some sheet metal around it. That's no great feat. The real engineering is system design and integration-developing the powertrain along with the body, electronics and controls. You'd know that if you weren't a stupid ass Turk.

i have two degrees in engineering you stupid, probably i am much more educated than your entire family and can calculate faster than all of your stupid family members brains combined. well on the other hand, your family is not so special so i can not be very proud of that.
Landos-2 engineering degrees and working on his engineering Phd. 32 years in automotive engineering working for 2 of the big 3 and an additional year working for a piston ring manufacturer. Assignments in process development, manufacturing, quality and systems engineering.
Frik, frak and phuck-three Turk homo's who haven't completed college yet (probably not HS either). Aggregate IQ of 85 and hair on their knuckles. LOL

Wrong again Landos, you seriously have to get your facts straight bro, come on??
His grandfather worked for a railway company in Turkey (as engineer) and he studied in the uk and doing so became inglish citizen. Noone kicked him or his family out. He just started to work in England. Born and raised in Turkey, makes him a Christian Turk. Your turn again, but a lil bit sharper now pls.

LOL!!! the greeks in the US are highschool dropouts working in their family businesses or working as waitresses. They are all famous with their illiteracy and their same sex mating preferences. Landass is no different than the greek stereotype in the US...
"Because Alec and his parents were British subjects, they were evacuated to Malta by British Royal Marines in September 1922, ahead of the Great Fire of Smyrna and the Turkish re-possession of Smyrna at the end of the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922). Following the death of his father in 1922, Alec and his mother moved to the UK in 1923."
Phuck you Zwalavska. You ever get used to being wrong all the time? LOL
lol, landos is flying again. from earth to orbit, its time to land off boy. ahahahahah, i really laughed when you used the word of engineer and yourself in the same sentence.
Turk contributions to automotive history are simply this-dirt cheap labor building foreign designed vehicles. Anything designed in turkey was simply sheet metal twisted around design content from some other nation. Skin deep, no more. LOL, you phuckers never learn.
I'll leave this cluster-phuck OWNAGE at this-a REAL car designed from the ground floor up by a Greek who Turkey didn't want. Phuck you, mongols. OWNED AGAIN!
LOL

And which part of this car was designed or built in greece you sadistic slut??
One Greek, Alex Issigonis, has contributed more to Automotive Engineering than all the Turks combined.
Front Wheel Drive
Transverse layout of Engine and transmission.
Advanced unit-body construction
Semi-half shaft final drive with CV joints.
All were pioneered in the Mini, all are common technology today. What have Turk engineers contributed that even comes close to these contributions? Not a god damned thing!
"Issigonis and his team moved from concept to production in two and a half years, an amazingly short development cycle for an entirely new concept car. The secret to the Mini's size was a revolutionary engine layout. Issigonis decided to create a transverse mounted engine, which means he designed the car so that the engine was mounted sideways. In addition, he mounted the engine in the front of the car, near the front two wheels. The front wheels drove the car and the additional weight in the front of the Mini gave the car more stability when taking tight turns. The space-saving engine layout allowed Issigonis to create a passenger compartment with more room than you'd expect for such a small car. You might even think it was larger on the inside than the outside."
somehow they missed him when they were busier than a $2 hooker in pogroming the millions of greeks they did evict.i small oversight on their part but because he is very succesful they lay claim to him as one of their boys
Issigonis NEVER identified himself as a Turk. He was proud of his Greek ethnicity and contemptuous of the nation that forced his family and many others to emigrate in a paroxism of Ethnic Cleansing.
