WASHINGTON: ...Congressman Thomas G Tancredo, Republican from Colorado, was being interviewed by AM 540 WFLA radio host Pat Campbell, who asked him what the response of the United States should be were terrorist attacks on US cities to take place and were attributable to extremist Muslims. The Congressman replied, ... then we could take out their holy sites. Asked if that meant Mecca, Tancredo answered, Yes.

I have just seen the movie in Istanbul, late night session. It is a great drama as well as showing great fire fight scenes. The characters are well build and the story sizzles to a hot climax at the end. I can easily say that the combat scenes were one of the best and the most realistic I have seen so far. Including the CGI...
Film Aktütün'deki saldýrýdan hemen sonra gösterime girseydi bence kesinlikle infial olur, millet yakaladýðý karakafalýyý keserdi.

Great movie....I forced my dad to watch it me here in istanbul.....old man doesn't like cinema too much...as a retired officer he found last fighting scene absurd. Other than that it's a great movie, I will watch it again for sure.
P.S: Arkadaslar film psikolojik temeli daha agir bastigi icin son catisma sahnesinin biraz abartilarak islendigi yonunde hem fikir...bunu bizzat catismis ve orada gorev yapmis askerlerden duyuyorum....

It was a brilliant and dissapointing film, the atmosphere it conveyed was practiced in an appropriate (disturbing) manner and the build-up was great, however i didnt like the end battle, it shows the Turkish army as incompetent, i mean what commander provokes a PKK group and looses around 20 - 40 men in the process killing only 6 or 7??? - Thats how the director wanted the audience to see it as he could have showed dozens of PKK bodies but didnt.
The end battle makes me think the PKK are technologically more advanced than the TSK. It also shows the PKK as brave which reminds me of another pathetic scene in the last battle where a PKK suicide bomber runs in and blows himself up killing like 3 solders, they see the suicide bomber running and there all shouting at eachother but none of them have the weapons, ammo or guts to shoot the terrorist so he runs in and kills our soldiers.
The film or atleast the end makes the TSK feel dumb and unprepared, what, is this how it really is like in SE Turkey? Then truly our army is pathetic but i know its bs, the most soldiers we lost in one outpost attack was probably aktutun, not a whole platoon! (30 - 40 men)
We lost 33 soldiers but that doesnt count because they were unarmed.
Still, it pisses me off how the commander provoked the PKK group and got his ass handed over by a bunch of rag heads.
and whats up with the Kurdish langage? This film is pro-akp and makes the WAR SEEM POINTLESS, only diplomacy is the best solution.
AH it pisses me off so much, we lost a whole platoon killing only a few terrorists, the only reason why the terrorists leave is because that doctor mother****er is killed.
The PKK must have disabled the communications relay or something because the TSK didnt call in any support, we had no night vision and we looked like the damsels in distress. No ****ing night vision? so pathetic

This ****ing pisses me off, were getting ****ed in our own ****ing country, just look at this, this is a bunch of rag heads vs a conventinal army? ive never heard of the taleban doing this to the Americans, wtf is ths, ****iong disgrace, **** this **** man and now the akp has ended the conflict, we should take revenge **** this
Ok this is human and the Turkish army for you, a brief summary of the film
Many scenes consist of dead Turkish soldiers and soldiers sleeping showing how incompetent we are.
Then you get this cocky commander of a platoon or w/e provoking the PKK and in the process PROMISING to kill the PKK doctor (leader of hundreds) - lets get to the ****ed part
Out of 30 to 40 men only 3 - 4 Turks survive and the commander's head (remmember he promised?) is literally blown off by the PKK 'DOCTOR' himself. (PERSONALLY)
3 - 4 soldiers do nothing when they see a brave PKK suicide bomber blowing himself up and killing 3 - 4 soldiers in one - not one soldiers has the ammo or w/e to shoot him?
Only a few terrorists are dead while your platoon has been liquadated (thats how the director wants you to see it or he could have shown a whole shot full of hundredfs of dead PKK terrorists making the audience feel better and making them see how we **** them up as well.
You call this truth and real? Is this how the Turkish army is really like, geez, we truly are **** then and comparing ourselves with the Greeks, i dont even want to...
But anyway, i know for a fact our army is not like hw the film portrayed us to be, this film is blatently pro akp... and whats up with this kurdo language?
The purpose of this film is to present how incompetent and weak our army is and how brave the PKK is.
