The Turks have a PM who's selling their nation down the tubes to western interests and we have a dancing clown who's selling Greece out to western interests. No difference.
Lando, I would have to disagree. Erdogan is doing the opposite, he is going AGAINST western interests over the past several years and looking east. It's a big risk but I have to give the guy credit for such nerve. Papadreou of course isn't in Erdogans league. In fact, he made sure to visit turkey FIRST out of all nations. Karamanli and Georgaki are turks imo. Let's not forget that one was the best man at Erdogans daughters wedding and the other is a closet Ottoman waiting to come out.

I agree that of the two Erdogan has more his own mind, but don't kid yourself. When the west suggests he does something, he does it. You think Turkey would be making inroads with Armenia or the Kurds unless he was being pressured?
I think that Erdogan is playing the game. He doesn't want to seem like he is going completely moslem fanatic, so he is soothing his current affinity for Syria, Iran, Hezbollah and Palestinians...........with the Armenian overtures. He is balancing his act a bit.

US is now letting Erdogan do his move against Israel, but not for so long. When the order comes from the top, he will obey as always. Remember he got awards and gifts from important Jewish lobby groups in US a few years ago. This is a game he's playing now.
What we have right now is turning similar to how things were at the beginning of the 20th century. There is the Sultan (erdogan) and his Phanarioti subjects below him (karamanli/Papandreou).
Landos is right.
Even in that case, Greece is still more advantageous than Turkey.
At least Greece won't waste lands. Turkey will.
Greece will still and always remain Greek. Turkey won't.
And many other facts telling we're in a much more diffucult position than Hellas.
