old system seems better . it can effect new member joining.

atila is right there is no incentive whatsoever for anyone to join if he can't read the threads prior to posting.

Hi guys. I just joined. I'd been thinking about it for a while, but now that you have to be a member to read the threads, I had to. Although, if I hadn't been able to read the threads to begin with, I never would have been interested in joining.

If a person is a Greek or a Turk and just see's the title of this forum, THEY'LL WANT TO JOIN , if for nothing else but curiosity.

it is now back to non members being able to read...the 'members only' function will occur every so often so that we can approve/encourage lurkers for membership..around 200 applications were approved for new members or those who had lost the password to old log ins..these new applications happened in 48 hours so that was a huge spike when normally we get 3 or so applicants per day...thanks everyone for your patience..
