Serbia and Turkey say their ties are better than ever now as they both face hurdles to their goals of joining the European Union.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Serbia's President Boris Tadic said Monday in Belgrade that their two countries have developed a "strategic partnership."
Gul says Turkey wants to invest in Serbia's infrastructure, such as highways.
Tadic says Serbia and Turkey support each other's stalled EU integration.
Serbia must arrest war crimes fugitives to move forward in joining the EU, while Turkey has faced criticism for its human rights record.
Ties between Belgrade and Ankara were strained during the 1990s Serb-Muslim conflict in Bosnia.
They were never that good in the first place. LOL.
Why would Serbia want better relations with Turkey? Turkey has no money, they're broke. They have no money to 'invest in Serbian highways' despite what Gul says.
This is just another example of they dying relic of Ottoman Empire trying to pretend they still matter on the worlds stage. Turkey is an empty shell of it's former self and has been for centuries.
and Now, Serbia has joined to the Turkish statregic route... What about Gayreece? Only Gayreece remained not to signed staategic defence and echonomic agreements with Turkey and SSM... I do not see your future bright against Turkey, Gayreeks...

You don't really understand what is being told here. Turkish government won't go and pay money to build roads in Serbia LOL. When a news about a country investing in another country comes out, it is about the country's companies that are being mentioned.
Turkish construction companies; which are number 2 in the world after China now; will go and participate in Serbian highway projects. Just like how Turkish construction companies got 25 BILLION $ from contracts in 2008 around the world, in Africa, Central Asia, Russia, Gulf States etc.
So Turkey is one of many nations quoting on Serbian infrastructure projects. That is a demonstration of 'ties better than ever'?
Turkey's 'success stories' in the Balkans remain:
1. FYROM-a nation on the edge of disintegration.
2. Kosovo-will be patitioned and merged with Albania and Serbia. Another 'created state' of the USA.
3. Albania-Balkans pauper. Enough said.
"Simply because we're too "Muslim" to fit in, according to the majority which thinks like Sarko and Angela."
Not "too Muslim", too arrogant. Turkey thinks it can make the rules about it's EU accession-meet the ones it agrees with and thumb it's nose at the rest of them. The EU doesn't work that way, it's not up to candidate nations to determine which rules they will follow. The bottom line is Turkey-just like always-overestimates it's imporance, worth and value. They shoot themselves in the foot over and over again. Nobody can keep Turkey out of the EU except Turkey itself.
