According to the report, published on Tuesday, Turkey, which held 105th place in the 2006 rankings, 121st place in the 2007 rankings and 123rd place in the 2008 rankings, has continued its fall in the rankings for the fourth consecutive year.
The report states that the female adult unemployment level stands at 10.23 percent while this figure is 9.79 percent for males. Turkey ranked 110th in educational attainment equality between women and men, 130th in economic participation equality and 107th in political empowerment equality, out of 134 countries.
Four Nordic countries -- Norway, Iceland, Finland and Sweden -- were at the top of the reports Gender Gap Index once again this year.
