Bulgaria's President, Georgi Parvanov, has declared during his Australia visit that a recent statement of Macedonian Prime Minister, Nikola Gruevski, was "unacceptable".
During a news conference in Sydney, Parvanov referred to the words of Gruevski who recently visited Australia as well.
Gruevskis words were that the Macedonians in Australia had a unique opportunity that they did not have in the Republic of Macedonia: to live with their compatriots from Aegean and Pirin Macedonia. (The Pirin region of the geographic area Macedonia is in Southwest Bulgaria, and the Aegean part is in Greece.)
Gruevksi has also called upon the Macedonians in Australia not to split because there are no Vardar Macedonians (i.e. the region of todays Republic of Macedonia), no Aegean Macedonians, no Pirin Macedonians, there are only Macedonians.
I am bewildered by the position that has been expressed by the Prime Minister of neighboring Macedonia. I see it as unacceptable, as an expression of territorial claims. It is all the more unacceptable as Macedonia aspires to become a member of the EU, the Bulgarian President declared in Australia Thursday.
He reminded his position that Macedonia must fulfill strictly all of the EU membership criteria some of which have to do with good neighborliness. In his words, Bulgarias support for the EU membership of Macedonia was not unconditional, and that it largely depend on whether the Bulgarian neighbor would withdraw immediately any similar claims.
The Republic of Macedonia is going to get a date for starting EU accession talks when it resolves once and for all its contradictions with its neighbors. This kind of statements are absolutely in contradiction with our expectations for good political will for solving the problems that the Republic of Macedonia creates for its neighbors, said Marin Raykov, Bulgarias Deputy Foreign Minister, who is part of the Bulgarian delegation to Australia led by Parvanov.
After the two Balkan Wars of 1912-1913, the region of Macedonia was partitioned between Bulgaria, Greece, and Serbia (later Yugoslavia). The Pirin part, which is in Bulgaria, is the smallest. The Aegean part is the largest, and is in Greece. The so called Vardar Macedonia is the territory of today's Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
According to the Macedonian position, there are ethnic Macedonians living in Bulgaria and Greece. The Bulgarian position is that before the creation of the Macedonian nation in 1943-1944 the Macedonians were part of the Bulgarian nation, and that today's Macedonian nation is limited only to the borders of FYROM.
Many of the historic immigrants in places such as Australia left the region of Macedonia before the formal proclamation of a Macedonian nation in the 1940s and some of their descendants still hold affiliations with Bulgaria.

There are few things Id like to see more than FYROM split up. It's a very dangerous game they're playing. They should wise up and understand the United States, uses - and then discards - little rat hole countries like FYROM. I give that place no more than 15 years before it splits up.

Attacking this country will raise international outrage we cannot afford. One logical solution is to send a Commando team with helicopters to Skopje and seize their prime-minister by force, chaned and gagged. Something similar to what the Americans did in Haiti in 1994 with Aristide or Noriega in Panama.

Maps change in time, always have and always will. Anyone who claims that the borders we see today will be the same a century later is deluded. Alliances of today are based on the conditions of yesterday; there are no guarantees that they'll be there tomorrow. On a long enough timeline, what will determine a nation's faith is its ability to tackle the ever-changing global challenges and survive the test of time on its own.

And if you think piss broke Turkey that can't finish off the Kurds after 30 years can change Balkan borders, then you probably look under your bed for the bogeyman.
Turkey couldn't even intervene to save your muslim "brothers" in Bosnia, but it will change borders unilaterally? Crack kills kid. Put the pipe down.

You cannot finish a people that's 15 million strong without genocide, and we all know how much people love to bitch and moan for at least a century when Turks [allagedly] attempt that. I won't go into the whole "Kurdish Problem" subject as that's a whole different discussion. But if you think the Balkans map you see today will be the same map your great grand children will be looking at, you're simply mistaken.

Over time Serbia and Albania will enter the EU, and Croatia long before them. Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania are already members. Fyrom will split up and Turkey will forever be on the other side of the fence looking in (like a jealous school kid that has no ice cream). The EU's borders will not change at the expense of EU countries (that will share the same currency and goals) and the benefit of what will be a very Islamic country (Turkey) in the future.

Make sure you use those sea hawks cuz those Vietnam era choppers you got tend to fall out from the sky (Kardak), and you should definitely think about sending in an army I heard maroon beret is active in that area, shh!
On 12 June 1992, a Greek Mirage F-1C crashed during a dogfight with a Turkish F-16 piloted by Capt. Ilhan Filiz.
On 8 October 1996, a Greek Mirage-2000 piloted by Thanos Grivas shot down a Turkish F-16D with a Magic IR missile.
Just two days after that murder, on 10 October 1996 a Greek Mirage-2000 crashed close to Semadirek island after a dogfight with two Turkish F-16s.
Point of the story is: TUAF saved itself two missiles.

FYROM's forces are so miserable, we should take them American-style. Bomb the living crap out of their few, scattered assets with our air force and artillery, then move in with armored divisions and mechanized infantry. Albanians will take Tetovo, Serbia will take the north, we take the south, especially the Greek city of Monastiri and the rest goes to Bulgaria. Everyone is happy.
Even the FYROMians themselves will have a better potential for life as citizens of Bulgaria. Still ages behind Greece, but decades ahead of FYROM, plus an EU country with some organized armed forces. They will have a more stable and better future.

You know what I'll give you the benefit of the doubt although the PUMA is much bigger then the Black Hawk and handles like a pig, perfect choice for Grease.
As for Greek SOF competing in anything (Griks hate competing in the international field) HIGHLY doubt it, Griks can never match Turkey in special forces simply because they haven't seen action thus learning new tricks to kill the enemy is non-existent, but hey good luck with what the US have taught you.

Actually there was one case when Greek-Cypriot and Turkish Commandos faced each other in a major skirmish incident on Pentadaktylos.
When the turks invaded in 20 July 1974 the 31st Commando Squadron got on to "Pentadaktilos" mountain and despite the enemy fire from the vilage "Pileri" they arrived at the height "Profitis Elias" when they whent on reconnaissance and stabilization until the recerves from the mobilization arrived. They had only 150 men for the night operation. Their task was to occupy the narrow passage at "Agirta" which was located at the main Road from Nicosia to Kerinia. The 31st Squadron would attack from the West. Its main objective was the "Kotzakayia" heights above the "Agirta" vilage and south of the "Ayios Ilarionas" Castle
From the East the 32nd Commando Squadron would attack to occupy the Westtop of "Aspri Mouti" heights.
The 33rd Squadron would attack at "Petromouthia" while the recruit 34th would operate south of the 32nd in the foothill of "Pentadaktilos" mountain to occupy the "296" height SouthEast of the "Agirta" vilage
At narrow passage of "Agirta" Turkish paratroopers and commando forces supported defencively the Turcocypriots and the turkish forces of Cyprus
The 31st Squadron attacked there. There Commander was Major Maniatis. Comander of the 1st Company was the first lieutenant Galinos. Of the 2nd Company was the first lieutenant Karahalios, of the 3rd Company was the first lieutenant Glentzes and of the Support Company was Captain Stamatis. The Support Company started to fire mortars machineguns and Anti Tank Weapons while the rest 3 companies was moving. That caused the retreat of the vanward troops of the enemy. The 3 Companies arrived undeteckted and took the turkish soldiers at the camp of "Kotzakayia" heights by suprice. The Greek Commandos managed to arrest the guard of the camp without any casualties! This was a great blight for the enemy since the "Kotzakayia" heights was on a strategical position. Some Hours later at the 01:00 o'clock the Turkish forces counterattacked! The Greek Commandos only 100 men defended succesfully! At the morning the men of the 31st received heavy bombardment from mortars, machineguns and anti-tank weapons.
Despite the succes of the 31st the other squadrons had failed. The total casualties of the 31st Commando Squadron was 1 Dead and 7 wounded
