Guys on the fast missile craft in each of our navies (Hellenic and Turkish) how effective are the 40mm guns in the role of CIWS?
Also are these craft too small to carry shorad systems. Thank you.

You need a decent (aka fast/automatic)FCS, and AHEAD munitions, and then yes you can use them as such.
Since AHEAD munitions need to know when they are off the barrel you need modifications on the guns themselves though.

AA,im not sure of the figures off the top of my head particularly for turkey but i know greece has around 15,that is 10 combattan class,plus about 5 or so vittas

turkey would have a few more than that.
