Brussels hosts first Gruevski-Papandreou meeting
Brussels, October 29 (MIA) - Finding a mutually acceptable solution to the name issue in ongoing process under the UN aegis remains essential for both Macedonia and Greece, Prime Ministers Nikola Gruevski and George Papandreou said Thursday in Brussels at their first encounter, being held on sidelines of the European Council meeting.
After the brief meeting of about 30 minutes, the PMs gave no media statements, MIA's correspondent reported. Representatives of their Cabinets, without revealing details about the meeting, said that Gruevski and Papandreou reaffirmed their commitment to the European future of the Balkan countries.
The meeting was initiated by Papandreou during a telephone conversation with Gruevski on Wednesday. lk/fd/18:28
