A historic day is today for the Air Force and operational capabilities. According to the defencenet.gr, was the first test of cooperation neoparalifthenton aircraft F-16C Block 52 + Adv. the 335M with an ASEP EMB-145H Erieye the PA to the Link-16!
The news is extremely important, since it is the first to achieve joint operational effects of two basic systems of the Air Force with Link 16, the most advanced western data transfer system, as regards both the volume and speed of data transfer, and the resistance to countermeasures.

Both the ASEP Erieye and the F-16 Adv. have a complete infrastructure system based on the protocols and NATO F-16 have the terminal MIDS-LVT (MIDS Low Volume Terminal) built. The flight during which they were operational test lasted 60 minutes. The picture today is distinguished ASEP EMP-145I Erieye to 335M.

No other aircraft of the Air Force has no ability to communicate with Link 16, after the previous F-16 did not have, nor the Mirage 2000/-5.

A second story on the 335M again (it is the only unit in the entire Armed Forces "turns" news, since it is the only one equipped with new hardware product orders after 2003) is to arrive today (30/10) even four aircraft F-16 Adv.

Thus the total number of aircraft delivered in the power of the 335M is 21 aircraft. Also expected to take delivery of four two-seaters and 5 cars to fill the 30 aircraft order, and everything will operate initially with 335M of 116 PM. We say initial because later will consider the establishment of even one degree, which receives about half of the 30 aircraft will have the 335M. Candidate is 334M or 342M, which at present is disabled.
