It won't be built in Europe as Atasehir belongs to Asia.
Even if it was built in Europe there are other taller buildings in Europe than this (mainly in Russia).

The building called metropol will be the highest building of Europe. Greeks may call this megalomania with their bankrupt state psychology, we Turks call it the rising financial hub.

no.it is not going to be tallest of europe. It was planned that way (400m) but decision changed to 250m (some sort of rules regarding being Atasehir Finance Center)

I never understood the mentality of the average turk here in WAFF. They post pictures about big projects in Turkey to show off, yet at the same time the vast majority of them live abroad. It would be a healthy approach if you would post pictures of your country you live right now. After all, you are citizens of this new adopted country. At least pretend you are assimilated. You go to a foreign country to claim financial benefits only.
About megalomania. If something looks like megalomania, smells like megalomania then for sure its megalomania

Nutsakoglu is just displaying the 3rd world mentality of showing extremely limited and exceptional architectural situations in his land of gecekondustan, meanwhile the REAL representative photgraphs of this 3rd world backwater look like this:

Advertisement companies in Turkey deceive the public a lot with inaccurate information.
As far as I know, it's on the Asian side of Istanbul and won't even be "Istanbul's tallest" - let alone "Europe's tallest" (given the "supertall" towers that are currently planned or under construction in Moscow.)

Right now (during the construction phase) they may look like a huge, ugly pile of concrete; but they are still better than the gecekondus which they are replacing, and will look better once the claddings are complete and their gardens are fully arranged.

the final design of the metropol looks shhit. and its in the wrong location. there will be 4 skyscraper clusters in istanbul (Levent, mecidiyekoy, Maslak and now atasehir) which is too much. its obvious you can build anything you wish anywhere in turkey

"Why do Turks hate nature and trees so much? Look at those pictures not a single phucking piece of green space, 20 years ago that area was all forest!
Well said.
Now, regarding the skyscrapers: It is another Turkish pharaonic project. The Turks will soon start building a pyramid for Pharaoh Tayip!!
Hey, how about a Colosseum fot the Turkish mob?
Buildings that do not generate revenue, do not increase productivity, and are useful only for creating illusions of national grandeur.
We did the same mistake with the Olympic Games in 2004, and now look at us.

Lol tuaf mentioned Dubai Towers, project wich has been canceled for couple of years lol. Biggest skyscraper in Turkey is Sapphire of Istanbul, wich isn't even the biggest of Europe. Moscow has bigger +300m skyscrapers (built by Turkish companies).
Also tuaf, buildings you posted will not be bigger then Sapphire, only Diamond of Istanbul but its on hold.
@gavur: again, Turkey especially Istanbul needs more office spaces for companies and luxury appartments, we're not Grease with zero entrepreneurship. To use your own country for Turkey as a reference is a bad example.

I do not like do to be offensive, but if some people want to take off the gloves, I will do the same.
Turks think they are becoming Hong Kong, but they are in for a rude awakening, as many serious economists warn.
By the way I remember very well the Izmit earthquake of 1999, when the Turkish construction miracles well collapsing like houses of paper cards.

Trolling isn't something for you dude, you're trying too hard. We're talking about billion dollar skyscrapers, not 5 storey appartment blocks down the block. Start to accept the fact the position Istanbul is deserving in the world, it is a world city along with other world cities, stop thinking you're a reference point for us cuz you're not, Athens looks like Gaza city.

Pyramid and Colosseum? Great idea, really why not!
We have already some monumental constructions:
Mardan palace
Kremlin
Why not piramids and colloseum, we just can.

I can't believe this.
The Turks mean it. Literally!
I thought Louis XIV and his Versailles pallace was the ultimate symbol of vanity, but the Turks are worse!
A Versailles Pallace a la Turca!

^^those WoW hotels are possibly the worst hotels you can go to in Antalya, only there you can experience the "pleasure" of drinking room temperature beer in 45C.
and I hate those skyscrapers, this is what they are turning Istanbul into:
They build them in every corner but nerver think about the infrastructure, anyone driving between Maslak Levent around 5-7pm would know what I mean.

I live in Atasehir now, I wish those projects stayed as 3D's. Atasehir looks so unhumanly, in fact the only good things about the buildings in Atasehir (IMO) is the fact that they make a nice view at a cafe in Atasehir (Wood Cafe, good place with a bad name).
