The TRS 22XX operates in S-band with a large frequency bandwidth. Its detection coverage is 470 km range, 100,000 ft in altitude and a 20° elevation pattern. It has a number of advantages including a large operating bandwidth, a high-grade antenna with very low sidelobes and an electronic phase scanning, non-dispersivity single beam operation. Various transmission modes are programmable by narrow azimuth sectors, including fixed frequency transmission, pulse-to-pulse or burst-to-burst frequency agility over the complete band and radar silence. The operating modes are also programmable by narrow azimuth sectors and are available in order to optimise detection according to the operational environment. Other advantages include auto-adaptive Doppler processing associated with a very short compressed pulse and anti-jamming techniques such as analysis, automatic extraction of jam strobes, selection of least jammed frequency and display of jammed sectors. The TRS 22XX radar station consists primarily of:the aerial assembly; the azimuth coverage results from the mechanical rotation of the antenna while elevation cover stems from beam and phase scanning techniques. The latter, together with the non-dispersive design of the antenna, allows true frequency agility over the complete bandwidth in all directionsthe high average power transmitter, located in a cabin, with its ancillaries containera reception and signal processing cabin, which houses a local console for the radar station control. The radar may also be operated from a remote position. It is fitted with built-in test equipment which carries out a permanent check of the operational status and delivers diagnostic information to the local or remote

Status
Fourteen systems have been delivered to Turkey.

Headshot..
Its Havelsan Radar Technologies ...established as joint venture with Tales to produce these radars then bought Tales shares in 2001.

Aselsan is working on a replacement radar, possibly again a Thales license since the Aselsan concept drawing looks a facking lot like the groundmaster 400.

Yes, it's in fact the modernized version of the TRS-22xx,

The radar dimensions are the same (thus same wafelenghts = same detection range)
