Macedonias Turkish Minority
-200,000 ethnic Turks live in Macedonia*
-Ethnic Turks have the right to primary education in the Turkish language
-There are two political parties representing the Turkish minority
-The Turkish agency TIKA is supporting the reconstruction of Ottoman monuments, including mosques, hamams (Turkish baths) and old bazaars
-Turkish soap operas are hugely popular among Macedonian TV viewers prompting, some say, a rise in the number of Macedonians learning the Turkish language
-Theatre productions are regularly staged in the Turkish language
POLITICALLY AND MILITARY we should support Macedonians brothers. Greeks bully Macedonians and we should not allow this. If Greece attacks Macedonia we should occupy Greece and cede some land to Macedonia and Turkey.
Question to Turkish members: Should we have closer ties with Macedonia?
Question to Greek members: Do you know that Macedonia is not Greek land and its people hate you?

1. The ancient Macedonians were a distinct European people, conscious and proud of their nationality, their customs, their language, and their name. The same applies to the modern Macedonians today.
2. The ancient Macedonians regarded the ancient Greeks as neighbors, not as kinsmen. The Greeks treated the Macedonians as foreigners ("barbarians") whose native language was Macedonian, not Greek.
3. Macedonia was never a region of Greece. On the contrary, ancient Greece was subjected to Macedonia. In 1913, modern Greece and her Balkan allies partitioned Macedonia. If today a portion of Macedonia belongs to Greece, it is by virtue of an illegal partition of the whole and occupation of a part of Macedonia.
Rather than enthusiastically sticking our nose into the never-ending filth of the Muddle East (which will sooner or later drag us into a war) we should instead forge "strategic alliances" with the former Ottoman states with sizeable Muslim populations in the Balkans, such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Macedonia.
All of these countries, and Turkey, will sooner or later join the EU (it is only a matter of time and depends on the "progress towards perfection" in democracy, human rights, economy, etc, in these countries.)
As such, we will have an important "sphere of influence" in our region, and in the European Parliament, of course.
After Turkey's membership, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia will probably also join the EU in a more distant future. A peaceful settlement in Cyprus will mean additional power in the European Parliament for Turkey.
Therefore, the "Turkish group" in the future European Parliament will consist of:
Turkey, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Georgia.
The AKP must realize that we are "European Muslims" like the Bosnians, Albanians, Kosovars, Macedonians and Cypriots. Our version of Islam is more modern, open-minded and liberal than Arabian, North African and Sub-Saharan Islam. Therefore, we should set our foreign policy premises in a more "realistic" way.
Unfortunately, Mr. Davutoglu has more important plans, such as paving the way to a Turkish-Israeli (i.e. Turkish-American) War over Jerusalem, for the sake of Arabs who would strangle us if they could.
