Turks attack American soldiers in southern Turkey
ISTANBUL
The footage shows that eight Turks trapped an American soldier and put a bag over his head in October 2011 in the Aegean province of Bodrum, protesting the events that took place in 2003 in Suleymaniye, in which Turkish soldiers were detained with bags over their heads by American troops. DHA Photo
Seven Turks attacked American soldiers and tried to put bags over their heads in the southern province of Antalya, daily Hürriyet reported today.
The attackers, who were reportedly members of the Turkish Youth Association (TGB), at first verbally attacked the American soldiers, who had left an American aircraft carrier moored off of Antalya to shop.
Police intervened in the incident and detained the seven men when they tired to put bags over the American soldiers' heads.
A group of TGB members gathered in front of the police station to protest the detention of their friends.
A group member said they had put bags over the heads of the American soldiers in response to the deaths of two Turkish soldiers who were killed when a Turkish jet was downed off the coast of Syria June 22.

This is what happens when your govt fvcks up and civilians have to do the job.
No matter the era, whichever the society, people always gaze at the stars when young. Then they stretch out their hands and try to catch them. And then one day, they realize their arms are not long enough to catch the stars, and thats when they grow up.

Here is the video of the skinny weak Turkish ultra-nationalists who did this, thinking they retaliated by trying to take hostage a solitary off-duty American soldier:
I cannot help but notice how skinny, fragile and weak the alleged born soldiers look, no wonder why they choose to target a single American.
Remember your Special Farces were taken on-duty, while pretending to be a part of Turkish Red Crescent and participating in terrorist activities.

Why is vaseline in my sig? Because Turks don't want to read what I post. Hopefully the lube makes it easier for those criminal scum who are such great cry-babies to swallow.

That is disgraceful.
Catching one soldier and jumping on him. That is shameful.
They should go and find the commander of turkish special forces during the incident in northern iraq and throw him in the water.Well, didnt he have an excuse.he has an excuse that Ankara told them to surrender.well,if you lose your credibility no one takes you serious;and that is what happened.if they hadnt surrendered that day they would've been heros today, and maybe the army wouldn't be in this situation right now.
If turkish soldiers behaved differently that day,Today their status in the society would be different, more respectful.
I blame the army commanders.
Finding a poor american soldier and humiliating him is not gonna make that incident disappear.
what Turkey Youth Union did means nothing to me.

It's not a rare sight, American troops abroad get attacked everywhere in the world by protesters. These protesters are mostly leftists no-lifers. They are worse than religious people and nationalist in most aspect.

...this situation reinforces that fact that Turkey is NOT a natural allie of the west.. even though its government might sing along with the west from the same music sheet.. the fact remains, there's an undercurrent of hate in the Turkish people against America and the west, thats not reflected by their governments foreign policy.. OR maybe there is!!

Well in fact, in Bill Clinton era, he was more popular in Turkey than america, he could easily win if he became candidate to Turkish Presidency. But following presidencies did nasty things in Iraq, specially hud issue and Turkish sentiment %100 changed by then. Also poor PR performance fed this sentiment.
