"They are not used as AA."

What exactly they are used as right now? (which kinda makes sense since Turkiye hasnt been in a conflict that requires anti air capabilities )

Turkey does not need real AA capabilities and you can see that since the Soviet Union fell apart that Turkey has not invested seriously into airdefence. Just recently for the new modernization run there is again attention for the airdefence capabilities. From AA gun till high altitude defence all systems are to be renewed (and most of them indigenously unlike the fart Griks).

Yes I know, indigenously Stinger platforms, LoL. That reminds me like Spaghetti with minced meat, Spaghetti with cheese, Spaghetti carbonara, Spaghetti with tomato sauce and...........

Nutuk

What exactly do you mean, if you refer to zu-23, they are not main system, Greek army has 50 missile shorads system, more than enough to counter threats.Zu's are simple guns mainly for anti landing defence now, if the m42 poc was taken from the east then there would be some logic, however truth is that "modern" turkish army still operates relics from korea aeria.

Well the relics that Greece uses are not much more modern than the Turkish ones, rather similar, like oerlikon AA guns, ZSU-23 and you too operate a small amount of M42 Duster.

The thing however is that Greece does not have replacements in planning for ZSU-23, Duster while Turkey is developping a new SPAAG. I think Greece is just waiting for a German offer of Cheetah/Gepard guns (free of charge)

actually these things, if they could cover the turret somehow agains small arms fire, would be effective in mountainous regions to surpress guerilla tactics

same deal as zsu shilka back then in chechnya and afghanistan. fast firing autocannons may never be underestimated in their effect against unarmored targets

They're just guns with engines, just like the M60's. Nothing special, they're used for heavy fire.
