Thats not a direct hit by rpg isnt it? Looks more like splash .
I mean i know Blackhawk is an amazing helicopter but surviving a direct hit from an rpg like that is basically something ... BatHawk from Batman movie if there was one would have done .
However if it is really a direct hit then i really dont have any explanation .

Looks like a direct hit, because the light non armored hull of the heli the RPG round must have pierced right through the body coming out from the other side without causing fatal damage.

BMC Efe looks tougher and sturdier but I hope its off-road performance is also on the same level as the excellent Unimog.
I also wonder about what the Army is planning about future trucks. Light truck requirements of the Army were all met by the Mercedes factory in Aksaray where these Unimogs are made but in recent years BMC was also given a share.
I wonder if the Army will completely switch to BMC or continue to buy both.

I'm sorry ???? How do you think its possible ? Not that I'm a professional pilot, I have limited experience on fixed wing, but I do have some knowledge about Helicopter flight dynamics.
Losing entire tail, do you really think you can manage to go 100m ? Without crashing ?
I know it sounds crazy but I am sure I had even see a photo of the copter!I know the incident with the IAF F-15 will try to find the photo of the blackhawk and post it...
P.S. Maybe it was a Kamov copter and not a Blackhawk.

I find the picture of the attack helicopter very interesting. It is well known that the Kurds have decimated the Super Cobras fleet, and this must be one of the last operational Super Cobras of rhe Turkish Army.

For the ignorant ones, the above picture is not a supercobra

That's a Single engined classic Cobra GY , NOT Supercobra. Plus don't worry about our Chopper's man ; T129 that you'll probably claim to be worthless will be in inventory in no time.

Ok, Cobra it is, whatever.
Well , I do not worry at all about your current or future fleet of attack helicopters. Especially if you arm them with Turkish indigenous weapons.
I also hear about delay of the T-129A deliveries.

How do you expect a decent debate from anybody while you believe our entire fleet has been brought down by PKK. Its not trolling, its just plain stupid and you know better.

Gavur what happened to you man ? You basically become one of the regular Waff G/T Trash . There is no intellectual comment or fact driven arguments but more like trolling and commenting just to be commenting ... No different than Romulus nor Kalli ...
Its not even hard to spot that Attack Heli isnt Super Cobra just look at the god damn Engine's
On the other hand your comment about our Super Cobra Fleet is nothing but a stupidity almost similar to Romulus's dreams of Apples and Russians.

I think there was a case once where a Blackhawk (not a turkish one) lost its entire tail yet managed to return to its base! It's a beast!

If we completely accept the way you describe the incident . The whole loss of tail (including Tail Rotor) a helicopter cannot maintain straight and level flight and this would force the helicopter in to a spinning motion due to Torque effect of the spinning main rotor .
Very basic Physics actually ...
Since the main rotor spins due to force of the engine torque . it actually creates a counter force to the rest of the helicopter to spin it in the opposite direction (every action has an equal reaction in opposite direction)
The incident you describe could happened in 1 way ... they may have lost some parts of the fuselage which didnt house the electrical wiring and mechanical connections which would be similar to the Turkish one .

So thats how it happened . The Rpg pierced from once side and exit from the other .. I say this is a very lucky case where the RPG did not go off . Well done to pilots that completed such mission in such a condition that enemy can accurately fire an Rpg at you .Truly great pilots facing danger in every corner.

You are right but as I also said it may have been a Kamov heli with coaxial rotors...

just show me one image of Yunan army like these. Our lads are fighting a real war and not posing for the cameras. That is the difference between your postcard-youtube-video "army" and our TSK!
