Interior Minister dris Naim ahin was attacked by a group of people who threw stones at him during his visit to the eastern province of Hakkari yesterday, daily Hürriyet has reported.

ahin was reportedly speaking with locals on Cumhuriyet Street after the fast-breaking dinner when the group began throwing stones at him while shouting slogans.

Police deployed pepper gas and water cannon while also firing into the air to disperse the group.

The minister was subsequently transported to the Hakkari Governor's Office after staying in a cafe for 15 minutes for protection.

No injures were reported.

ahin will leave for Van after spending the first day of the Ramazan bayram holiday in Hakkari, according to reports.

""Maniots, known for their martial qualities, were the first to join the Greek liberation movement. The society called the Filiki Eteria ("Company of Friends") sent their representatives Perrevos and Chrisospathis to organize the Maniots. On March 17, 1821, 12,000 Maniots gathered in the church of Taxiarchs (Archangels) of Areopoli and declared war against the Ottoman Empire. The flag of the revolution was white with a blue cross in the center. On top of the flag there was a sign, "Victory or death". The Maniots were responsible for writing "Victory" and not "Freedom" on their banner since Mani was always free. On the bottom of the flag lied an ancient inscription, "With the shield or on the shield."

@nuturk
Are you going to kill all the pro-PKK people?You know you won't.Actually, you can;t.The video is apocalyptic of the Kurdish hostility against the state. We have seen similar videos in Lybia or Syria just before the outbreak of their civil wars. You can't pretend that it is no big deal.

Turks lost on the kurdish front. Your last hope is a dissent retreat from SE Patatolia. Meanwhile have a look at the Greek crisis to enjoy ur low lives and forget ur sorrows. LMAO

Hahaha...TurkoArabs running away from Kurds like sheep. Did you see how heavily armed the minister's guards were with bullet proof vests and heavy assault rifles?

It is clear that Turkos cannot enter Kurdish cities normally.
