Me and Mrs Eddie in the crowd, some 20 years ago that was. That was the year i had a fiver at 1,000/1 in the William Hill under the old Owen Owens shop to be the xmas number 1. I put the bet on in September, then listened to the chart countdown on the Sunday before xmas. Thought i had cracked it until i heard it was number two and kept off the top spot by the Pet Shop Boys with 'Always On My Mind'..........."it was xmas eve, babe, in the drunk tank"
