Can you get pregnant on your own with high FSH?

Hi ladies,

I've had 2 miscarriages. Got pregnant the first time after 3 months of trying, and that ended in a missed miscarriage. After that, I waited 1 month and got pregnant again on the first try. That ended up being an ectopic pregnancy.

So, that is what has led me to additional testing. I just got my first period after my ectopic and did day 3 testing. My FSH came out to 19!!!!!!!!!! I'm only 31!!!! HELP!?!?!?!

I still had some hcg in me (5) and so my dr believes that it could be an invalid test result due to the hcg and it not being a regular period. I had 2 days (or 3) of spotting prior to having red blood (which I counted day 1 the first day of red).

Is it possible this is an artificially high number? If my number really is that high, would I have been able to get pregnant easily both times, even though I couldn't maintain the pregnancies?

What should my next steps be?

I'm going back for another re-test of day 3 testing along with estrodial. I'm going to start acupuncture this weekend.

Please, I'm at my wits end. I'm so scared of that number!!! Any insight you can give would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
