JB: Is it time to spill the beans?

One of the most enjoyable aspects of being part of this forum recently has been the long-running speculation over the identity of TITLE WITHHELD. Now we are within sight of the finish line when the title will be revealed, and I couldn't be more thrilled.

However, (and you knew one was coming, right?) as the magic date in March approaches, I begin to wonder how many people inside DC already know what TW is...and how many of those people would be willing to anonymously spill the beans early? I would hate for all the plans, red herrings, and misdirection JB has planted to be spoiled by some peon looking for some kind of "in" with an on-line Rumour Monger.

And, no, I'm not just posting this so that we can find out what TW is. I genuinely enjoy all the speculation, and it looks like JB is enjoying it, too. I just don't want all of our fun to be ruined before JB gets to do the reveal himself.

I want to know this:
has TW been correctly guessed by one of us?
yes or no-- no specifics needed

Just about everyone at DC knows what TITLE WITHHELD is. Perhaps we can take it as a sign of a resurgence of professionalism in the field that no one has leaked it yet.

And, of course some of you have guessed correctly. Heck -- is there a DC title that hasn't been guessed by somebody?

Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew, it is!

******

But I'm changing the title. "Zoo Crew" never made any sense at all, to me. In that "reality", wouldn't a Zoo be a prison?

(Not that they aren't here, too!)

Well, they'd still have zoos, but it would mainly consist of Charlton Heston pacing back and forth shouting "It's a mad houuuuuuuuse!"

You're right though, I can't understand why they would name themselves that (yes I get the satire, I'm just extending the "logic" of the animal universe inward). Maybe on their Earth, "Zoo Crew" is some kind of colloquialism for your close friends. Kind of like calling someone "Homeboy".

Or the Vertigo version...

Would Zoo Platoon be more acceptable?

That sounds like the Captain Carrot Earth's version of THE DIRTY DOZEN.

Think of Zoo as in Zoology.

Zoology is the study of animals. Do Captain Carrot and his Crew think of themselves as animals or, like another "dominant" species we know so well, do they have a separate category for themselves and think of the "lesser" creatures as "animals"?

(Remembering now a HUGE row I got into with one of my high school teachers, a fundamentalist, who would absolutely not accept the suggestion that human beings are as much a part of the animal kingdom as anything else!)
