WIZARD continues to spread goodwill!...

Well, it looks like "Wizard" has annoyed Milk & Cheese creator, Evan Dorkin:

I'm a big fan of Evan Dorkin. He's one of the few Independent comic book creators that seems to really have a love for superhero comics.

I hope that "Wizard" isn't tipped off about "Title Withheld" before JB and DC, both, are ready to announce it. It's been fun guessing what the title will be.

Edited for typo and HTML.

I seriously think a major backlash against the current state of affairs in comics may be coming soon.

Really? From whom? and didn't it already come in the 90's?

I love Milk and Cheese and all those Space Ghost Coast-to-Coasts Evan wrote. But the all-time funniest thing I've ever seen him do was at the '96 Chicago Con when he looked up at a video monitor that was playing footage of wrestler Ultimate Warrior (who was a guest at the con that year), stopped, and shouted "What the fuck is this shit?!"

I'm gonna hold you to that, Rich!

Seriously, how about those of us who are going to attend MOC doing a panel presenting our point of view? Would Roger Price be amenable? Something like: "A Call for Return to the Old School," by the members of the John Byrne Forum. Maybe draw up a manifesto.

That would be like putting a big bullseye on your back. It would come off as "John Byrne followers trying to tell me what to think, how dare they!" Just keep buying what you like and spreading the word about the Marvel or DC titles you like.

I suppose you're right--attaching JB's name to it that way would be unwise. Still, it's something of a cause I believe in, and will continue to pursue it alone if necessary, and with other fans if possible.
