What are those funny outfits the X-Men seem to be wearing?

Sigh I was hoping for the brown and tan Wolverine costume, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.

I find it funny how many people at newsarama were complaining about how "stupid" spandex is.

I thoguht of something.

You know if current Marvel covers are any indication they well may not be in those costumes anywhere in that comic.

The latest extreme Xmen covers with storm show her in a completely different hairstyle and costume than she ever has in the actual comic.

just something to wonder ab out until we get an issue preview

It's a backlash

Everyone's tired of the movie tie-in leathers, and the recent trend towards unmasked anti-heroes.

We want our superheroes back, and we want our good vs. evil stories back.

This is a great thing for comics. Maybe some of those sales might come back too?

<<We want our superheroes back, and we want our good vs. evil stories back.>>

Personally, I'm willing to settle for "good vs. misguided", "good vs. jealous and frustrated", or even "good vs. insane." As long as "good" finds its way back into the equation, I'll be happy.

God - I was just about to start a thread about Good vs. Evil and that comment sprung up.

Sure sometimes I like to see stories that wrestle with complex moral issues but sometimes I'd love to see a bit more straight-shooting!

I was just re-reading Superman #149 - at the end, Lex is being tried by the Kandorians for the murder of Superman.
In return for being set free, Lex offers to enlarge Kandor to normal size.

Now in those days, I'm sure the Kandorians would have debated this offer for a number of issues with many wishing to take this offer (Should the death of one man outweight the benefit to many?).

Nope - back in the day - Justice is swift, the Judge just says We kandorians don't make deals with murderers! and bang Lex is off to the Phantom Zone - never to be seen again.

I still remember the final image in that tale; Supergirl and Krypto flying side-by-side and the image of Superman in the clouds, waving and smiling. Still "brings a tear to me eye....."
