Just had my email from Alex Ross' website, showing some of the beautiful painted art from JLA:Liberty and Justice just now going up for sale. Beautiful, beautiful stuff, and I would love to have one hanging up on my wall, but at $7,500 to $15,000...

And then it says at the bottom to add on $15 for P+H. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that, just possibly, it wouldn't have been unreasonable for the vendor to cover that, given that the amount is pretty insignificant next to the selling price.

I've a good mind not to buy one.

seriously if you were willing to pay 15k for a painting, you dont care about 15 more bucks.

I don't particularly mind how much he charges for this given that proceeds from the sale of the four previous big books all went to charity.

If I was going to buy a 15k painting (and if I had the money I would) then I'd want better P+H than 15 dollars could buy. 15 bucks is okay on a couple of hundred dollar comission or line work, but on 15k you'd want something a little better in the packing and insurance area.

Postage and Handling tend to be pretty standard. The cost of the item involved is rarely an issue.

I agree with Jason! It better be packed in a damn wooden crate or an Anvil shipping case case if I pay 15K for it!
