Man, I love Cooke. What drama and what good story-telling. I'd love to see the series go on forever but I also know it's a tremendous amount of work for him and I'm guessing he's still doing the well-paying gig (storyboards) as well. I thought Wonder Woman's scene with Superman was fantastic as well as the church scene as well, the Vegas chapter, well, hell, the whole thing was just great. This is a case where I hope they put out all six issues in a giant TPB and i'll get that as well for a big old reading copy. I would imagine it being huge and expensive at well over 300 pages but worth it I think. -Rick
It was excellent, but it was a bit odd seeing Lois Lane as such a right-winger. Seeing Superman and Wonder Woman's argument was a bit like watching your parents argue.
Lois' attitude would have been pretty similar to a lot of people's back in the early days of the Cold War when there was a lot of fear about communism.

Kevin's point would seem to be that the scene struck him as odd because Lois has never before been portrayed this way.
Try working within the context of the comments you contradict.
Well there is going to be a lot of that judging from the two issues so far. Superman's a government agent, Wonder Woman was an accessory to murder, Flash (I think) blew up Captain Cold and Hal Jordan was shown to be a combat pilot who refused to kill.
I liked the Wonder Woman and Superman scene with WW standing a bit taller than Superman. Kinda makes sense to me. And the one scene of the Flash running at you with just his eyes in focus.. I don't think I've ever seen his speed portrayed quite like this.
Personally, i'm enjoying Cooke's artistic take on these
Silver Age characters And the story's moving along quite nicely.
On a related matter, over at http://www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com/rage/index1.htm
there's an interesting "article" named "Darwyn’s Theory"
that addresses some comments Cooke wrote concerning
comparisions between his version of Superman in NF to
Frank Miller's take on Superman in DKR... can't we all get
along??
Well it seems that "cactusmaac" likes to try and grease the wheels of internet debate, taking one of Mr. Cooke's statements a little out of context and having to go and redress the issue at Mr. Cooke's request.
Context is very important, M Ali, and you should stick to it. Unless you're planning a career in sensationalistic journalism.
I have no stomach for people who pull quotes out of context from one board and post them on another. A simple link with no tabloid headline will suffice if someone feels compelled to share information.
