"You've got a spot on your forehead..."

Nothing wrong with a little bit ash on the forehead. I have been sporting mine most of the day and forgot about it until I saw ROG.

So what are "we" giving up for lent? (or better instead of giving up something what are we going "to do" to make the world a better place).

I'm not Catholic so I don't celebrate lent. As for what I will do today to make the world a better place is explain a joke. Whats funny isn't the fact people have ash on their foreheads but the fact that that ROG is saying it at the top of the forum!!!

I grew up in an area with few Catholics and I did tell that to someone...once!

Topical ROG is the best, but where was he yesterday? ROG sure seems like the type who would enjoy tossing a few beads out to the ladies!

Just to be a poop, I'll point out that nobody "celebrates" Lent. It is a time of fasting and reflection -- or if you're a catechumen, a time to prepare for entrance into the church. Better to use the word "observe," I guess.

(Boy, I remember an awful lot from my Catholic education, considering I haven't been a churchgoer for over 10 years!)

Incidentally, Rog cracked me up today too.
