Well, I understand her point of view about not wanting to overshadow Angel, but based on her 7th season and his 5th, I think it would do HER a world of good to come on the show.

I know some posters don't like the idea of closure on this show, but I would love to see these two back together on screen.

I disagree. When Angel appeared on the finale of Buffy, it was as if he'd lost about three years of character development.

Buffy and Angel are very high school.

Angel's "true love" (if you must use such terminology) was Cordelia. She understood him and enlightened him in ways that Buffy never could.

You have no idea how sad that makes me. One of the main reasons I didn't watch Angel was the Cordelia character. I found the character throughly unlikable and the fact that she was gone was the main reason I started watching Angel this season.
It makes me sad that a person as shallow as Cordelia ended up with Angel.

You know, Richard, for the most part I agree with you 100%. Cordy and Angel (except when he was evil) were my two least favorite characters/actors on "Buffy," which is why it took me so long to give "Angel" a try. But as someone noted on another "Angel" thread a couple weeks ago, leading-man-Angel is far more interesting than pining-away-love-interest-Angel. And the recent 100th episode where they wrote Cordy out was probably among the 10 finest television programs I think I have ever seen. Perhaps Cordy was a lot like Barry Allen, her death was so powerful that her character, in retrospect, resonates for more strongly than when she was actually alive. (I've just gotten a whole bunch of Barry Allen lovers terribly angry at me, haven't I?!?)
