I just want to thank you for making the build to Title Withheld's anonouncement so enjoyable. It reminded me of why I love comic books to begin with, and why I have always been a fan of your work. I know I hardly ever post here, mainly because I feel I have nothing new to add to all the discussion, but I have greatly enjoyed these last few months, and I just wanted to take the time to say thanks.
Tonight was probably the most fun I've ever had in all my years reading comics. This is truly the greatest moment in Byrnedom, and I'm honored to have been here to see the reveal.
I truly believe that we are entering the golden age of Byrne, and I hope that it lasts a LONG time!
Long time lurker, first time poster here. J.B., I must say, I'm not only impressed by the anticipation that built up around here, but by the fact that it was rewarded with a "back-to-basics" approach to much-beloved characters.
I'll be adding Doom Patrol to the pull list tomorrow, and can't wait to follow the JLA arc. I only regret that your JLA tenure's so limited.
Carlin deserves some gratitude from us too. He got JB on JLA, got him on Doom Patrol and helped keep TW a secret as long as possible. If I understand correctly, he also gave the o.k for John to reveal Doom Patrol on the chat room yesterday.
Mike Carlin is not only a good man, he's also incredibly funny. He was one of those people who could just look at me a certain way, and I'd crack up. Even when I was being an asshole (which was a good portion of the time).
