Every time I listen to this song I always think of Super-Heroes. I think that is an official sign that I'm a dork.

However, every time I hear that crappy Sunshine Superman song, or the whiney Superman song from a few years ago I about put my eyes out with rusty King Size Annual staples.

I'm not sure what this all means.

Good song, great album

But whenever I hear that song, I think of cantankerous Bob Mosley, AKA O_M, whether he's posting at Newsarama, or in the R.A.C.DC newsgroups a decade ago. He's always good for a laugh, even if he's ripping JB.

Funny thing, Whenever I hear The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" ( i think thats the name) I think of Batman.
example- "No-one knows what its like, to be the Batman..."

Hey, I do that too! We're both weirdos!

There is a new version of "Behind Blue Eyes" by the artistic heavyweights of Limp Bizkit, and my brother's girlfriend not only thought it was a new song, but she also that it was written about Britney Spears.

Those stupid Limp boyz managed to neuter the song completely by deleting the whole bridge:

Before I use it and lose my cool
When I smile, tell me some bad news
Before I laugh and act like a fool

And If I swallow anything evil
Put your finger down my throat
And If I shiver, please give me a blanket
Keep me warm, let me wear your coat

It's only the emotional high point of the whole song. Ugh.

Has anyone heard the Paul McCartney & Wings song, "Magneto v. Titanium Man?" There is a Stan's Soapbox from 30 years ago where he mentions the song. What album is it from?

That song was from the album "Venus And Mars". The live version can be found on "Wings Over America". Paul was apparently something of a Marvel Comics fan at the time.

I remember hearing The Kink's sing the song, "Help me now I'm falling (This is Captain America calling)". Was this song inspired by The Captain America?

Is that the name of the song? I've never heard it before.

Back in the late 60s', David Bowie had a song entitled, "Uncle Arther". With lyrics such as, "Uncle Arther, still reads comics, Uncle Arther likes Batman". Also, during his Ziggy Stardust days, he wrote a song entitled, "The Superman".

I remember that Kinks song "Captain America Calling." that's one that never gets played anymore. They also had a "I wanna Fly Like Superman" song somewhere around the same time.

And Magneto and Titanium Man is a good song! Not crappy!
