I bought the complete set of DU a little while back and was wondering if there is anything the Hardcover has that the regular issues don't. Is the hardcover recommended even if you already have originals?
"Recommended" is too strong. It has an intro splash, with all the gang at Easter Island, and a single page that was left out of issue four, since it was known to be the last issue, so that it wouldn't hang on a cliff forever.
Dark Horse, mid-90's, four issue mini-series (and a few bits and pieces), I don't know if the TPB is still in print, but you should have no trouble finding one, Kind of an FF vibe, Very good stuff, highly recommended.
I just re-read Danger Unlimited a few weeks ago and it drives me crazy that JB created such an elaborate back story that we are never going to see.
I wish the dou-tone would have printed better but other than that it was a fantastic story.
See if that guy will ship to you, and you'll get the Earth Angel book as a bonus. (Its the issues, not the trade, but you've already got the digital Easter Island scene!)
You know, this scene sort of has the feel of those early Kirby covers--with the heroes blissfully unaware of the monsters about to gobble them up--but rendered in a style that's much more highly polished. Nice!
