JB are there any of your own pieces that you've enjoyed (for whatever reason) too much to let go?
*******
For purely sentimental reasons I hung on to a single page from my last issue of UNCANNY X-MEN for several years after I left the book. Don't have it any more, tho. (When I see the prices for pages from that vintage, I wish I did!)
Presently I have only 3 pages with my own work on them up on my studio walls: a page from BATMAN 3D, a page from my ENEMY ACE story, and a page from the chapter I inked in SERGIO ARAGONES DESTROYS THE DC UNIVERSE.

I own 2 now purchased very recently. A Wonder Woman/Sinestro page and a JK Fourth World page. Amazing how different they look when they aren't reduced comic pages or scans. Truly amazing stuff when you see them in large scale.
Next up are Kurt Schaffenbereger and Alan Davis.

Since my web site is currently in chaos and redesign you guys can still check out my "all Byrne" lowry gallery which has a few pages, many of which I have probably already showed here since original art is all I seem capable of talking about: http://www.comicart-l.org/comicart/cal-display.asp?LowryMemberID=1406

It's the nostalgic stuff that grabbed me by the balls at an early age. It's pretty foolhardy going after an entire Annual but I've 8 pages already and the ninth is on it's way ...
Cheers!

I've got an inked sketch of a bald, overweight guy in a sci-fi jumpsuit staring down at his reflection...JB says it was perspective practice, I say it's brilliant.

I have one page from Man of Steel.
It's the page where Bizarro saves Lucy from committing suicide -- then "cut to" a nice big panel of Lois bursting into the Daily Planet office where she finds Clark Kent in a gorgeous foreground pose.
That series knocked me on my ass so hard, I'm thrilled to have a piece of it.

I have been collecting art by John Byrne for almost 7 years now. My first page was a one one from Champions 11, but don't own it any more.
Started looking for art for his favorite run for me; his FF run. It was(and still is) tough finding good pieces from that series, but over the years managed to find some!
Still looking though so if you have some for sale/trade
And like to collect art from the start till present, although often I feel that nostalgia plays a big role, meaning that often those pieces mean the most to me.

I'm always looking out for more to add to the collection.

No problem, Jeff. It's fun hearing about what people have. I also just picked up my very first JB cover and guess what? It's from Uncanny X-Men ... (that was the deal that was driving me crazy these past few months...)
Cheers!

I've got two sequential pages from Fantastic Four "Terror in a Tiny Town" and two sequential pages from Generations 3 "History Lesson, Part 2". Two of my favorite comic books, so having original art from them means a lot.

I haven't bought anything recently. Late last year I bought a sketch/prelim drawing of Cyclops JB did for Hidden Years.
I own a page from X-Men #143 - Kitty running from the N'gari demon. When I first contacted Jim, it was the last JB page he had from the original crosses self run on the X. I sold the other page from the first run that I had.
Other highlights include a page from HEROES FOR HOPE, a page from FF #250 that had Colossus and Storm (though they were Skrulls masquerading as X-Men), an FF splash of Aunt Petunia walking into the Baxter building, an Iron Fist page, JB's gatefold cover for the Christmas issue of Marvel Comics Presents, 2 Powerman and Iron Fist covers, a Wonder Woman cover, and the art done for the tip in plate of the signed Next Men hardcover.

I own one page of JB art.
It's from JB's third issue of THE INCREDIBLE HULK (I think it's #316), and it's the page where Banner is looking at two hologram images of the Hulk: on the left side is the original, gray-skinned Hulk from 1962, in pure Kirby style, and on the right side is the 1986 version of the Hulk in pure Byrne style.
Banner was comparing the two incarnations and examining how and why the Hulk had evolved so much over the years.
I adore the page, and can't wait to finally get it properly framed so that I can hang it up in my new home office.
I have several pieces, even though I haven't been able to buy any lately. I'm not at home so I don't have exact issue & page numbers.
Wonder Woman: Sinestro slices a bridge in half.
Fantastic Four: Splash page to "The Trial Of Reed Richards!"
Avengers: One page of Iron Man & Nefaria beating the crap out of each other, with a one panel cameo from Wonder Man.
Next Men: Six pages, two of Bethany getting attacked by flamethrowers and emerging from the wreckage, and the first four pages of the issue where John, Mike Mignola and Art Adams visit Dollar Comics.
1 page from Lost Generation 12
1 page from Wonder Woman 108
1 page from Chapter One 6
1 page from Namor 24
1 page from Hidden Years 11
1 page from Fantastic Four 240
2 page from New Gods 15
1 page from Uncanny X-men 142
and 4 sketchs.

Two from JKFW #2 with the DC Thor, and a page from issue 4. Hopefully, someone from the TX area will be going to Mid-Ohio con so I can have them signed. Not actually original art, but I have an uncut sheet of Byrne cards hanging on my wall as well from ebay.
Late last year I purchased (Byrne's last) WOLVERINE issue #23, page 2 that shows Wolvie ripping and tearing his way out SPORE's back! I recently purchased Hidden Years issue #10, page 10 featuring Sauron. And I am currently paying off my Rog 2000 vs. Auntie Decay advertisement original page! I think after this one I need to take a breather. Nevertheless I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

I have a bunch of John Byrne pages in my theme gallery (http://www.cwob.com/tigra/). My favorite is one of the first pieces of comic art I ever bought:
This page from West Coast Avengers 42 was published when I was a kid. And even back then, JB was already my favorite artist. But did this make the man complacent? No! John said "I'm going to start writing and drawing this kid's favorite comic. And in the very first issue, on the very first page in which I draw one of his favorite characters...I'm gonna just go ahead and draw her buck-naked!"
Now that's what I call Service. If I had had the means, I would have arranged for Mr. Byrne to receive a gift assortment of exotic meats and cheeses, with my compliments...
