I blocked 20 rooms for the convention in Columbus on Friday and Saturday Nov 26th and 27th. Rooms are at the Wingate Inn less than 15 minutes north of the convention headquarters.

Their standard rate is $119.00 and I set up the block at a rate of $69.00. 10 king and 10 double queen rooms all in non smoking. Let me know if the room block gets full. Tell them that you are making reservations for the Byrne Robotics room block, the group code is BR26.

Call 1-888-428-3466 to make reservations. See the link for hotel details.

Wow! Thanks for doing that, James. One question, since I've never visited the area, is it easiest to take a cab to and from the convention or is there a shuttle that runs into the city?

Who's game for taking James up on his kind offer?

God, I would LOVE to go. I can't leave my wife alone on turkey weekend with 2 kids & a new baby though.
I may be going to the San Diego Con this Summer, tho.

thanks but...

I already made reservatins at the Hilton for the convention rate there for $99 a night. I usually like to be close to the con in case I need to go back to the room for any reason. After an hour or two of roaming, I take a break. -Rick

15 minutes North of the con? I'd say those flying in will need to take a cab, because I doubt there's a shuttle that will travel between this hotel and the con hotel, or the majpr shopping center next to the con (but I could be wrong). An airport shuttle does run to the con hotel. How about to this hotel, James?

BTW, I'll probably reserve a room at this hotel, and I'll be happy to give flying Byrne fans a lift. I'll even be the DD on Saturday night.

I thought you were the IF (Iron Fist), not the DD.

They do not have a shuttle, but since I'll be driving alone on my trip, I'd have room for at least 3. Possible that I'd have a van by then... just found out we're having our third child in December. So, I may have room for more.

Oh, and questions about Columbus or the hotel may best be asked to the hotel itself. I've driven through it once, quickly.

Man....this is tempting. A $119 room for $69, and the company of other Moon Patrol cadets. Do I drive or fly...or better yet, take a plane? It's about nine hours by car from here in VA...not too bad. Urge to travel....getting stronger....harder to resist...

$119?

did the $99 rooms fill up already? It must be gettin' full. $69 is a good price though. Who else is staying at the Hilton in the $99 room section? Any Patrol members? -Rick
