It took a little while to put the three images from the auction together and clean them. I tried going just a little bit bolder on the coloring of the flesh this time, so tell me what you think! As always, my coloring would be nothing without JB's great artwork as the starting point.

My wife is off shopping with her Mom for a few days, so I have a little more time to work with this fun hobby! Kevin's Batman request will be next. Joe, I have not forgotten about you (I am just stuck on those darn speed lines)!

Looks cool Greg.

For those speed lones Just throw a color hold on them and make it a light blue to white gradient. If you want to post it here and get opinions I am all for that.

You do really nice work Greg. I look forward to seeing more...I actually have your Antman as my desktop screen, here at work.

I was curious though. If it's not being too nosy. How did you get the texture on the ant? that was a nice touch.

Tony,
Glad you liked that Ant-Man! I don't usually use a lot of the photoshop tricks on these, but I did there. I think the ant has either burlap or sandstone as a texture on part of it.

Mike,
I believe Danton already did a nice job on the Doctor Doom/Spider-Man pic. I don't think I want to try and top what he did! Email me a larger picture of the Peter Parker 98 cover and I will ponder doing that one.

I think my first Lois and Superman have a little too much solar radiation in their systems. Better?

Fashion...

March 31 2004, 11:25 AM

I don't know if John designed all the outfits that Lois, Clark, and Cat Grant wore during his Superman run but I've always liked how he draws clothing. The outfit Lois wears on Superman #6 is amazing.

About the Spidey/Doom Piece
I don't know if you're speaking about my coloring

or if there was another try from someone else. If so I would be curious to see it.

Cyrille

Cool! Very moody.
Maybe the background is just a bit too dark?
Either way much better than mine.
I mean as far as mood and everything it is near perfect.
Quit your day job Greg...

edited to add: in fact the more I look at it the more I see the background is fine too-

Hey Marc (got it right this time) the neat mood you added to that art piece inspired me to make a little change

Thanks for the kind words, Dwayne. The Scoobification really adds a homey touch! I'm only sorry it was applied to that particular rush job. (I don't do my best work when it is past my bedtime on a work night.) Here is a different piece that I colored during my waking hours.

DAMN! If only that Avengers pic was 1024X768 I'd have a new desktop!

Great job there, Marc. Very "old school".
