Someone at DC needs to give Simonson a new monthly, ASAP. I've always wondered what a monthly Simonson Flash comic would look like....or Green Lantern....

DC

1.Green Lantern
2.Shazam or Flash (something with the lightning)
3.Mr. Miracle or Big Barda
4.Teen Titans (I just reread XMEN vs Teen Titans)
5.JSA
6.Nick Fury
7.Black Widow

Walt tops my list of 'Who would i like to see do Dr. Strange" along with Mr. Byrne.

At DC - Rip Hunter seems like it would be a hoot for Walt, drawing differant time periods and what not.

At last report Walter was working on an Elric story -- not an adaptation but a story about young Elric specially scripted for comics by Moorcock. I got a chance to see the first few pages and they are amazing -- twice-up size and just gorgeous! That was about a year ago. Walter said it would be coming out in 2004.

Walt is one of the greats.
I can't wait.
I loved Orion so much-
I think that was about his best artistic work to date.

What I don't understand is why DC and Marvel has so many bad (just bad) artists on so many books why they don't get people like Walt and co to do more monthly books.
JB is about the only one of the great talents still doing monthly books.

The comic industry needs Byrne, Perez, Simonson, Davis, Mignola, Miller (as long as it isn't super hero related) and a few others to do a monthly book-
There are so many comics out there that are being held back by sub par artists that can't tell a decent comic story with pictures to save their lives.

For now.

(In the likely event someone is going to misunderstand my humorously menacing note, I am not insinuating that JB will not have said book; I am insinuating that TBA will BA.)

[Edit to make sure people don't think I am haranguing JB.]

"BOOK"

Well since you're just doing the pencils on DP I see no reason you can't draw JSA as well.......
Go tell DC that I just decided and to make it happen soon...

I would love to see Walt work on Green Lantern or any DC book.

Sometimes I need a reminder that Walt had a career before Thor
I remember hating his art on Thor as a kid at first, but then he took over X-Factor so I had to get used to it. Once I did, I really began to appreciate his talents. I wonder what his influences are, since his style is very unique. I see some Kirby of course, but that's about it.
